Tomato chutney


Tomato chutney

Ingredients:

Ripe tomatoes  -2
Shallot or small onion  -8
Garlic   -4
Hot green chillie  -4
Broken black gram  -1 tsp
Broken Bengal gram  -1 tsp
Curry leaves  -10
 Mustard seed  -1/2 tsp
Oil  -2 tbsp
 Salt to taste

Method:

Cut onion, garlic, tomatoes, hot green chillies into small pieces.
Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan, add broken Bengal gram, broken black gram, onion, garlic, tomatoes, salt and roast them for 5 min.
Now grind the roasted ingredients into a fine paste.
Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan, add mustard seed, curry leaves, once the mustard seed splatter add this to the ground paste.
Mix well and serve.
