Green chillie tomato chutney

Green chillie tomato chutney

Ingredients:

Tomatoes   - 3 
Green chillie    - 2
Mustard seed    - 1 tsp
Urad dal      - 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves    -5 
Oil   - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste

Method:

  • In a mixer jar add tomatoes, green chillies and salt grind and transfer to  a container.Do not add water.
  • In a small pan add oil wait for sometime for the oil to get heated then add mustard seed wait for a min to splatter add urad dal and curry leaves   season it and add it to the ground paste. Mix well and serve.

Green chillie tomato chutney

Green chillie Tomato chutney


Ingredients:

Tomatoes      - 4 ( chopped roughly ) 
Green chillies     - 5
Garlic       - 9 pods
Curry leaves    - 10
Coriander leaves    - 1/2 bunch
urad dal     - 3 tbsp
Channa dal   - 3 tbsp
Mustard seed   - 1 tsp
Oil   - 4 tbsp
Salt to taste

Method:


  • In a pan add oil, wait for a while to get it heated, add mustard seed- let it splatter.Add the garlic, Urad dal and channa dal and saute it for a min.
  • Add green chillies, curry leaves, coriander leaves and saute for another 2 min.
  • Then add the chopped tomatoes and let it cook for 5 min. Allow it to cool.
  • Add salt and grind coarsely.
  • Now the green chillie tomato chutney is ready to serve.

Roasted onion chutney

Roasted onion chutney


Ingredients:

Onions    - 3
Garlic      -5 pods
Urad da      -  2 tbsp
Channa dal   - 2 tbsp
Dry red chillie   - 3-4
Tamarind      (less than amla size )
Curry leaves  - 10
Mustard seed     - 1 tsp
Oil      -  3 tbsp
Salt to taste

Method:


  • In a pan add oil and wait for a while to get heated. Add mustard seed and allow it to splatter.Add urad dal and channa dal and saute for a while till it turns light brown.
  • Then add dry red chillies, ,onions, garlic, curry leaves, tamarind and saute for 5-7 min.Allow it to cool. Add salt and grind it into a paste .
  • Now roasted onion chutney is ready to serve.


Tomato Egg chuyney

Tomato Egg chutney


Ingredients:

Egg    - 2
Onion    - 3 ( chopped finely ) 
Tomatoes   -   4- 5 ( chopped finely )
Green chillies    - 2 ( slit )
curry leaves    - 10 ( chopped finely )
Coriander leaves to garnish (chopped finely )
Chillie powder  -  1-1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder    - 1/4 tsp
Ginger   - small piece ( less than 1/2" ) ( chopped finely )
Mustard seed    - 1 tsp 
Jeera seed       - 1/2 tsp
Oil   - 3 tbsp
Salt to taste

Method:


  • In a pan add oil, when the oil is heated add mustard seed wait a min for it to splatter,then add jeera seed, chopped onions, curry leaves , green chillies and chopped ginger and saute for 5 min.
  • Add chopped tomatoes, chillie powder and turmeric powder, mix throughly and let it cook for another 7-8 min.
  • Mash the tomatoes with the help of your spatula.
  • Now add eggs,sprinkle little salt for the eggs and toss well.
  • Add coriander leaves and serve hot.
  • Yummy chutney is ready to serve.
  • If you need more spice just add little black pepper powder.
Tips:
      Curry leaves is very good for our health, so while using curry leaves chop finely and add it to the dish.

Onion    - 3 (cut into big cubes )
Tomatoes   - 4 ( cut into big cubes )
Garlic    - 4 pods
Ginger   -  very small piece
Chillie powder   - 1-1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder    - 1/4 tsp
Mustard seed       - 1 tsp
Urad dal      - 1 tbsp
Curry leaves   - 10
Coriander leaves to garnish
Salt to taste
Oil        - 2 tbsp

Method:


  • In a mixer jar add onions, tomatoes,garlic, ginger, chillie powder and turmeric power. Grind coarsely.
  • In a pan add oil, when the oil gets heated add mustard seed wait till it splatter, add urad dal and curry leaves and saute for a min.
  • Now add the ground mixture and salt.Mix well. Let it cook till the water evaporates. Sprinkle coriander and serve hot with Idly,dosa and chapati.

Garlic chutney

Garlic chutney

Ingredients:

Garlic    100 gram
Red chillie powder  1-1/2 tbsp
Sesame Oil  -  6 tbsp
Salt to taste

Method:

  • peel the garlic.
  • In a mixer jar add all the ingredients and grind coarsely.If needed can add extra oil.
  • Serve with hot Idly,Dosa.

Ingredients:

Tomatoes    - 4
Onion      - 2
Ginger  small piece
Curry leaves   - 10
Coriander leaves ( garnish )
Red chillie powder   - 1-1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder     - 1/4  tsp
Mustar seed    - 1/4 tsp
Urad dal     - 1/2 tsp
Channa dal    - 1/2  tsp
Sugar a pinch
oil    -  3  tbsp
Salt to taste

Method:

  • Finely chop onion, tomatoes and ginger.
  • In a pan add oil, when the oil is hot enough add mustard seed allow it to splatter, then add urad & channa dal saute for few seconds.
  •  Add chopped onion and chopped ginger cook for 6 min till the onion turns  light brown. Add chopped tomatoes, chilli powder, turmeric powder, sugar and salt mix well. cover the pan and leave it to cook for 10 min. 
  • Add coriander leaves mix well and serve.
  • This will go very well with idly, dosa, chapati & white rice.
