Roasted onion chutney

Roasted onion chutney


Ingredients:

Onions    - 3
Garlic      -5 pods
Urad da      -  2 tbsp
Channa dal   - 2 tbsp
Dry red chillie   - 3-4
Tamarind      (less than amla size )
Curry leaves  - 10
Mustard seed     - 1 tsp
Oil      -  3 tbsp
Salt to taste

Method:


  • In a pan add oil and wait for a while to get heated. Add mustard seed and allow it to splatter.Add urad dal and channa dal and saute for a while till it turns light brown.
  • Then add dry red chillies, ,onions, garlic, curry leaves, tamarind and saute for 5-7 min.Allow it to cool. Add salt and grind it into a paste .
  • Now roasted onion chutney is ready to serve.
